Azure Administration · Self-paced with mentor checkpoints

Networking Hub Administration Studio

You build a miniature hub-and-spoke layout with monitored traffic paths. Exercises include documenting failover assumptions and validating DNS forwarding without memorized portal clicks.

What is inside

  • Hub VNet construction with tagged subnets
  • Private endpoint wiring for a sample PaaS surface
  • NSG rule diffing exercise
  • ExpressRoute discussion tabletop (paper only)
  • Diagnostic flowchart for asymmetric routing
  • Peering cleanup checklist

Outcomes you can show a manager

  1. Produce a one-page diagram of a hub you could defend in review
  2. List three DNS failure modes you can test quickly
  3. Capture a concise incident note template

FAQ

Do we configure physical appliances?

No hardware appliances are included. We stay within Azure-native constructs and paper tabletop extensions.

Are recordings available?

Checkpoint videos exist for major labs, but the cohort encourages live troubleshooting blocks.

Limitations?

We do not simulate carrier-grade MPLS contracts or carrier ticketing workflows.

Experience notes

The private endpoint lab made me redraw our staging map twice—in a good way.
